We're proud to share that Hikesity has been featured in BC Living's Made With Love: 12 Apparel Brands From Vancouver Island (July 2026) — named among a dozen brands designing and making apparel right here on the Island.
For us it's more than a mention. It's a reminder of where our gear is put to the test. As our founder Jun Hang told BC Living:

Island-tested sun protection
The piece points to our Eco-Chic Braided Straw UPF50+ Sun Visor — an open-top straw visor finished with a UPF 50+ UV-protective coating and independently verified by an ILAC-MRA accredited third-party lab to block 99.95% of UVA and UVB. It rolls flat for travel and springs back to shape, which is exactly the kind of everyday-durable design that a year of West Coast beaches, trails and rain tends to reward.
Being made and tested on Vancouver Island isn't a marketing line for us — it's the design brief. Salt air, strong summer sun and near-constant drizzle are a demanding proving ground, and gear that holds up here tends to hold up wherever our customers take it.
